Weddings, early mornings, and loving husbands

It's been such a long time since I last posted to this blog, over a year in fact, closer to a year and a half. I'm bad! Actually, I was planning a wedding last year, which is no excuse and in fact should have made it that much easier for 3BT's.

1. Weddings are a beautiful thing in and of themselves. Mine was absolutely perfect and I couldn't have asked for a better day!

2. Waking up early is something I hardly ever do, since I don't have to get up for work in the morning.

3. My husband is a wonderful man. I love his dearly and am blessed to have such an amazing man to share my life with.

Mark, Hummer, and Blackie

1. It was such a nice day today, unusually warm for December. I was able to actually sit outside with Mark and smoke a cigarette, instead of standing inside flicking my ashes through the cracked door.

2. Hummer had me in stitches this afternoon. He was in a funky mood, and started dancing like a freak at the counter. I almost spit my water out. First time I laughed like that at work!

3. I came home from work and sat outside for a few minutes petting Blackie. He jumped on my lap and kept pawing at me so I'd continue to pet him, until he was ready to come inside.

Peace and Quiet, Angels, & Elton

1. Being able to get caught up on all my work at the office, even though it meant that someone wasn't talking to me. Ah...the peace and quiet!

2. Sitting in paint class, working on a painting of a little Angel, and having everyone in the class say how wonderful it's coming out.

3. There's nothing like a good Elton John song playing on the radio to get me out of a funk!

Snuggling, Reuniting, and Keeping Warm

1. Cotton is normally a very aloof kitty, but tonight she decided to climb up on my chest, snuggle and give me kitty kisses. She's such a wonderful cat!

2. Reconnecting with old friends.

3. Before I jumped in the shower, I put my pajamas on the heater to warm them up. There's something really cozy about getting out the shower and putting on warm pj's. It's one of the best feelings in the world!

Gaggas, Grandfather, and Snow

1. Two hot gaggas, no onions of course, and coffee milk...great lunch!

2. Every day on the way to work last year I passed an elderly African-American man standing on a corner holding the hand of what looked to be a 4 year old boy. I supposed they were waiting for the school bus. I hadn't seen them in awhile, but now I see the same man walking with an 8 year old (or thereabouts) little girl. To catch a school bus? I wish I had had a camera to take a picture of this man with his grandson!

3. The first snow of the winter!

Turning of the Tree, Eggnog and Brandy, Sugarplums

1. I haven't had a Christmas Tree the last 2 years, because I really have nowhere to put it anymore, since I moved into this place. So it was nice to do the annual 'Turning of the Tree' at Ma's. The smell of fresh pine needles is amazing...I love it!

2. Eggnog and brandy...yummy!!!

3. I'm actually tired tonight, before midnight. I may actually sleep 7 hours instead of my usual 5. I may be asleep before my head even hits the pillow! I think the eggnog and brandy may have had a hand in this! Will visions of sugarplums dance in my head?

Fire, Rain, and Butterflies

1. The smell of a roaring fire on a cold day.

2. Waking up to what should have a been a horrible rainy day and seeing that the sun is brilliant this morning.

3. Not having to wait 2 1/2 weeks to see the one who stirs up all the butterflies.
